If all goes well, that Amtrak engineer leaning out the window may be able to run Amtrak trains up n' down the FEC more than just once every 10 years pretty soon! |

AAPRCO Special on FEC |
Description: |
Here's a shot I've imagined my entire railroad photography existence. An FEC passenger train on the old Palatka branch under I-95! I've passed over this spot probably a million times since I first picked up a camera in 1981 & always wondered what it would look like with a passenger train. This photo is my personal proof that ANYTHING can happen. The rails were rehabbed up to this point in the mid-90's for the industrial park that opened here, but the remaining ROW was turned into a bike trail, which is about three wheel lengths from the rear of the train. |

Back when passenger service was running on FEC, B&W shots were fairly common! FEC's former HQ building watches silently as history repeats itself. |
