They may not have to reletter the 104 for FEC if they send the four new SD70M-2 back, which is presently a popular rumour circulating. Why send them back? FEC is sidelining many of its own motors in addition to sending others out to other RailAmerica lines, so why keep the high price-tag items if they aren't yet paid for? UPDATE 5/9/09: both of these motors were heavily damaged in a massive derailment 20-odd miles to the south, it is likely 701 will be retired. |
